With a deep understanding and appreciation for SEO, quality content and ethical digital marketing practices, Michael Walters has staked his career on his ability to create, implement, and manage robust large scale digital marketing and SEO strategies in a highly efficient manner.
Through rigorous work ethic, motivation and a keen understanding of best practices, Michael has worked with many businesses to help them succeed in achieving various goals and objectives. With nearly ten years of experience, Michael is a subject matter expert on all things SEO and digital marketing.
Michael started his professional journey managing content, communications, and technical writing for a large Colorado retail chain. In 2016, Michael pivoted to the start-up sector to become the Director of Content, Marketing & SEO for a niche digital marketing agency where he worked for just under seven years.
During that time he helped implement digital marketing and SEO strategies that grew the business from several hundred thousand to over two million monthly visitors, ultimately leading to a successful acquisition in 2021.
Now, Michael is Discount Dumpster’s SEO Project Manager and is working hard to bring his growth mindset to the team in an effort to build up the company’s digital presence, call volume and overall revenue.
Michael graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2015 where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Writing and Rhetoric focused on technical writing and rhetorical analysis, with a minor in Professional and Organizational Communication.
When he’s not working hard to help grow Discount Dumpster, Michael enjoys writing music, playing guitar and belting out vocals for his Denver-based jamtronica quintet, Splendid Blend. In his free hours away from the band and work, Michael spends a lot of time producing music for his solo electronic side-projects, exploring new and interesting literature, delving into vegan culinary excursions, and spending time with his fiancée and two fur babies.
