We offer driveway delivery of our 20-yard dumpster throughout the Atlanta region. This dumpster container measures 8 feet wide by 20 feet long. This is one of our most popular roll off sizes and is a great choice for a large home improvement job, extensive clean-out project, or a small construction job. It has a low profile and swinging back door access, making it easy to use and load. You can fit the equivalent of 8 pickup loads of trash in this container. That’s about 120 large trash bags full. Our standard weight allowance for this roll off is up to 4 tons, which is good capacity for most jobs.
For our standard 20-yard dumpster roll off in Atlanta, you can expect to pay $430 to $625 on average. Our pricing is based on a flat rate model for each of our dumpster sizes. Our 20-yard dumpster comes with a 7 to 14-day rental period. All fees, taxes, delivery, and pickup are included in your standard flat rate. We also offer custom solutions for heavy inert waste or for longer jobs. We’ll customize your quote to include all the options you choose. Everything is listed upfront, so you won’t be surprised with hidden fees or upcharges at the end of your rental period.
We offer flexible rental periods for all types of jobs. We begin with our standard 2-week rental period. This can be extended for a job that will take more time. Just let us know when you call how long you’d like to keep your dumpster. If you need it for several weeks, we can arrange for a swap-out service. We will pick up your full dumpster and bring you a new dumpster after the standard rental period. This gives you continuous access to a convenient dumpster during the duration of your entire job.

That depends on your location! A 20 yard is what we like to call a "middling" dumpster size. Its not too small, yet not too large, which makes it perfect for larger residential projects and smaller-scale commercial work. Due to the size of the dumpster and the scale of your project, you may need to place it on a public street. A permit from the City of Atlanta will be needed for any dumpster that goes on public property. Also, even if the 20 yard dumpster fits on your property, you will need to make sure the local HOA approves of your placement spot.
Discount Dumpster cannot make any guarantees in regards to specific drop off or pickup times for dumpsters. We have a standard delivery window of 6 AM - 6 PM, Monday through Friday, but we are more than happy to take any requests you have for specific times. Feel free to leave a request and our staff will work as hard as they can to accommodate you!
20 yard dumpsters are great for mid-to-large residential projects and small commercial work. 20 yards can handle more debris for projects like landscaping, home remodels, and roofing work. These dumpsters are also perfect for commercial projects like office cleanouts or strip-mall renovations. We wouldn't advise using a 20 yard dumpster for heavy duty construction and demolition work, however, since there are weight limits. Call to ask for more details!
Any dumpster left overfilled on the day of pickup will result in a pickup rejection by the hauler. Transporting a dumpster filled over the top is a safety hazard in case debris goes flying. After pickup has been rejected, a costly trip fee will be charged to you. So make sure your dumpster isn't filled over the limit!
A dumpster over its weight limit will result in additional fees once the bin is weighed at the transfer station. These fees will be charged to you per extra ton.
