How Much Weight: Each dumpster comes with a weight allowance. Weight is based on the ton and is calculated when the container is dumped at the landfill.
Duration of Rental: The standard rental period is up to 14 days. We are happy to prorate extra days if you need.

In most cases, a permit is not required to rent a dumpster, especially if you intend to place the dumpster on your own property. Our 10, 15, and 20 yard dumpsters usually fit on standard driveways with no issues.
If you will be positioning the dumpster on a residential street or sidewalk or blocking a public right of way, then a permit is necessary for your rental. Please visit the City of Belmont website for further instructions. You may also need the authorization of your HOA in order to have a dumpster on your property.

While dumpster rental is the best option for most projects, it is important to note that there are hazardous items that we aren't allowed to take to a landfill. Items such as SOD, batteries, wet paint, oil, asbestos, sealed tanks/drums, electronics (e-waste), and tires cannot be thrown into your rental dumpsters. These items should be picked up by a junk hauler, will need to be disposed of in a special facility, or you will need to take them to the landfill yourself. Please check our prohibited items page, for more specific information.
There are also specific prohibited items, such as loose glass or animal waste, that are specific to Belmont. If you have any questions about items to not throw away in your area, please give us a call and we will find out all the info we can.
Also, to avoid having your filled dumpster being rejected by our drivers, be sure not to exceed the weight limit for your dumpster. Your local landfills will have information on possible recycling services for certain heavy items.
