The average price range for a dumpster rental in Newark is around $450-$900. Larger dumpster sizes or longer rental periods may incur higher costs. If your dumpster will be blocking any public right-of-way you may be required to get a permit. If your dumpster is placed on your private property or job site a permit is not required. Let us know when you call where your dumpster will be delivered, and we’ll help you determine if a permit is needed. You should always contact your local HOA with your project specs before you place it to determine if you need a dumpster permit.
To avoid contaminating our environment and for the safety of our operators, please do not toss anything other than typical construction or household waste/junk into your rental dumpster. This includes items such as:
We provide our customers with a list of prohibited items and work with them to ensure that all waste is disposed of properly. If you're unsure about whether or not an item can be placed in a rental dumpster, our team of experts can provide guidance and assistance to help you find the best disposal solution for your needs.

Our offices are open on Saturday; however, we might not be able to schedule a delivery on a Saturday in your area. Call us at 855-573-3867 to check for availability.
We know how tempting it can be to fill your dumpster to the brim. However, we strongly advise you to resist the urge. If your dumpster is filled to the top or a bit past the top, our haulers might not be able to pick it up. Due to safety reasons, haulers are prohibited from driving on Alabama roads with an overfilled dumpster. Additionally, overfilled dumpsters are at a higher risk of exceeding the prepaid limit. Since our dumpsters are charged by weight, not volume, this will result in paying an overage fee of five cents per pound. (For reference, concrete can weigh a ton per cubic meter.)
Discount Dumpster offers a standard rental period of 7-14 days. You will be informed of the maximum rental period during the ordering process. You are also welcome to hold the dumpster longer if needed. Just know that there will be a small additional fee per extra day.
Mattresses are allowed in your dumpster. We ask that you specify if you are tossing mattresses so we can calculate that into the dumpster's weight allowance. We also have a blog that can teach you how to break down mattresses yourself, if you are interested.
We often place a customer’s rental dumpster container on the driveway of the home. In most cases, there are no problems with doing this. However, if your driveway is cracked, damaged, weak, or old, the weight of a dumpster and its trash load could potentially cause damage to the surface of the driveway. You can help prevent any damage by laying down sheets of plywood along the path the container wheels will take. This distributes the weight of the dumpster over a larger area and can help prevent cracking. Alternatively, we can deliver your rental dumpster onto the street. This could require a permit from the city, so let us know when you call to order if you’d like this option.
Each size dumpster container has a specific weight limit. The container is weighed at the landfill. The hauling truck is weighed as it enters the grounds and then when it leaves with an empty container. The difference is the weight of the trash load. If this weight exceeds the standard weight allowance for that size container, you could be charged an overweight fee. If you anticipate disposing of heavy material such as concrete, tile flooring, rocks, or roofing shingles, let us know so we can get the appropriate container to accommodate the heavier weight.
