(20 feet long x 8 feet wide x 4 feet tall) – 8 pickup trucks
Our popular 20-yard dumpster stands 4 feet tall and is 20 feet long by 8 feet wide. This size dumpster will fit nicely on a typical residential driveway. With its low profile, it’s easy to load and toss all your trash. Some of our 20-yard containers feature a door in the back that swings open, allowing you to walk in bulky or heavy waste. The 20 cubic yard capacity holds about 120 33-gallon trash bags full of trash, the equivalent of 8 pickup truck loads. It has a generous weight limit of 3 to 4 tons (6,000 to 8,000 pounds).
The average cost for a 20-yard dumpster rental in Denver is $500 to $650. The rate depends on availability and your delivery location. Your quote starts with our flat rate for our 20-yard container. This includes all dump fees, taxes, and the delivery and pickup of your dumpster. We can customize your quote if you need accommodations for very heavy debris and waste. Be sure to mention the type of waste you have so we can ensure you get the right size dumpster. If the load is overweight at the landfill, there is an additional charge that will be added on.

Permits are only needed from the City of Denver if you need to place your dumpster on a street or other right-of-way. If your dumpster can rest neatly on your property, you do not need approval from the city. However, if your property is under the jurisdiction of an HOA, you will need to ensure placing a dumpster on your property won't violate any of their bylaws.
Discount Dumpster cannot guarantee any specific delivery times. Our windows for delivery and pickup are 6 AM - 6 PM, Monday through Friday.
Electronics are strictly prohibited for disposal in your dumpster. This is due to the fact that electronics and batteries are classified as hazardous waste. Electronic components will not break down naturally in a landfill, and can often leak hazardous substances like battery acid into the ground. All electronics must be take to specialized e-recycling plants for disposal.
It may look tempting to fill up a dumpster the size of a 20 yard. However, you should never fill a dumpster past its designated fill line. Doing so will result in a pickup rejection by our hauler. This, in turn, will add a costly trip fee to your final bill.
