A 10 yard dumpster should easily fit on most residential driveways. The City of Chicago only needs a permit for placements on a street or other public area. If you place the dumpster on your own property, you don't need a permit from the city. However, if your property is under the guidance of an HOA homeowners association), you will need to make sure the dumpster won't violate any of their rules before arranging placement.
As much as we would love to say yes, Discount Dumpster can't guarantee any specific delivery or pickup times. Our windows are typically 6 AM - 6 PM, Monday through Friday. You are welcome to put in requests for certain times, just be aware this is never guaranteed.
A 10 yard dumpster in Chicago is best reserved for residential projects. The 10 yard bin is our smallest size, and shouldn't be used for large-scale construction or demolition work. Ideally, you would use a 10 yarder for decluttering, yard work, or small-scale home renovations. If your project involves primarily residential work, a 10 yard dumpster is a great option.
Any dumpster that is overfilled will not be picked up by our hauler. Doing so would pose safety risks to motorists and pedestrians. Once pickup is rejected, you will be charged a costly trip fee.
Overweight dumpsters will accrue additional charges per extra ton once it is weighed at the landfill, which you will be responsible for.
