This makes it easy to toss your waste into your rental dumpster. The 15-yard capacity holds the equivalent of 6 pickup truck beds full of trash (about 90 full trash bags). The weight allowance on this size dumpster is 5,000 to 7,000 pounds (2.5 to 3.5 tons of trash). In most cases, this is sufficient for most jobs, but let us know if you need to dispose of particularly heavy waste. For most jobs, we offer a 1 to 2-week rental period. This is our standard length of rental period, but we can adjust this for longer jobs. If this rental period is not enough for you to complete your job, just let us know when you call to order your dumpster. We’ll talk over your project to determine the best plan to give you the time you need to finish up your cleanup. Depending on availability, we can arrange for extra days added to the rental period at a prorated daily rate, or we can set you up with our swap out service to provide longer term dumpster availability to you at your job site.

A 15 yard dumpster can easily fit on most residential driveways. Therefore, the City of Chicago will not likely need a permit if the dumpster can fit neatly on your property. Streets and public right-of-ways will need permits. However, if your property is under the jurisdiction of an HOA (homeowners association), then you will need to secure their permission first.
We would love to say yes! However, Discount Dumpster cannot guarantee any specific times of day for delivery or pickup. Our standard delivery and pickup windows are 6 AM - 6 PM, Monday through Friday. You are welcome to request certain times for delivery or pickup, and our staff will do the best they can to accommodate your needs.
A 15 yard dumpster is one of our smallest sizes. We recommend using a 15 yard for residential projects primarily. 15 yard dumpsters shouldn't be used for heavy-duty construction or demolition work, to avoid overweight charges.
Overfilled dumpsters will not be picked up by our hauler come the designated pickup day. Doing so risks debris falling off the back of the truck, which could injure motorists or pedestrians. In the case of a pickup rejection, you will be charged a costly trip fee.
Overweight dumpsters will have additional fees added per extra ton over the weight limit. Monitor what you're throwing away and how much to avoid overweight charges.
