Permits should only be needed if your dumpster needs street placement or will block a public right-of-way. If you can place the dumpster on your private property, such as a driveway, then a permit usually isn't required. However, if your property is under the jurisdiction of an HOA, then you will need to secure their permission first.
For any questions you have regarding permits, please reach out to the City of Milwaukee. You are also welcome to call us with any questions you may have.
There are various types of hazardous materials that are not allowed for disposal in your rental. Examples of these items include:
These items cannot be left in your dumpster and should be take to a specialized recycling center for disposal.
Current landfill we use include:
Dumpsters that are packed past the designated fill line will have one of two likely outcomes:
To avoid these outcomes, make sure your dumpster is not overfilled.
We recommend disposing of concrete and other heavy materials in our inert dumpster. These bins are specifically designed to hold many tons of weight for items like concrete, bricks, rock, dirt etc. Concrete should not be placed in a non-inert dumpster for disposal.
Electronics contain hazardous components that cannot break down properly in normal landfills. Also, some of these hazardous materials (like battery acid) can leak into soil which can affect groundwater. This puts both people and animals in the local environment at risk. To dispose of electronics you will need to contact your local recycling centers that handle e-waste.
Our standard rental period is 14 days (two-weeks). The rental period can be as long as you need it to be! Also, if you're finished earlier than expected, no worries. Give us a call and we'll have our hauler swing by for an early pickup at no extra charge.
Our phone lines are open on Saturday from 9 AM - 3:30 PM. However, we may not be able to deliver a bin on Saturday. Call ahead to check if Saturday deliveries are viable.
Unfortunately, the likely answer is yes. We suggest placing a tarp or cover over the dumpster to prevent water intrusion and buildup. If you have any heavy rain in your forecast during your rental period, prepare accordingly to prevent water weight charges.
