Most placements on private property do not require a permit. We do recommend checking with your HOA to make sure you're able to have a visible dumpster on your property.
If your rental dumpster will be placed on a street or sidewalk, you would then need a Street and/or Sidewalk Occupancy Permit from the City of Pasadena Department of Public Works in Los Angeles County. If your dumpster placement will be on a public right-of-way, let us know when you place your dumpster order and we’ll help you with the permitting process.
